Ketcham Memorial has a 40+ year legacy of love and caring for our community. We are recognized nationally for our award-winning care and quality, but most importantly from the families and people we serve.
Ketcham Memorial Center is a non-profit, community-owned skilled nursing facility nestled on 21 beautiful acres in Odon, Indiana. We accept residents who utilize Medicare benefit, Medicaid, private insurance and private pay for wide variety of conditions.
BERTHA’S VISION… A COMMUNITY SERVING THE COMMUNITY.
In 1962, Bertha D. Garten Ketcham had a vision. To realize this dream, she planned extensively through a generous endowment for the provision of long-term nursing care to the residents of Odon and the North Daviess community during their “sunset years” without leaving their beloved community. As a result, the Bertha D. Garten Ketcham Memorial Center, a not-for-profit, community-owned facility has been serving the North Daviess community since 1971.
For over forty years, Ketcham Memorial Center has provided personalized, loving care to those in the community who are in need of therapeutic and long term nursing care services. A dedicated focus on individualized needs and personal care is a priority at Ketcham Memorial Center. Under the direction of Ketcham Memorial Center’s volunteer Board of Directors, a caring and compassionate staff and with the helping hands of hundreds of friends and volunteers, Ketcham Memorial Center promises and delivers on their mission to ensure “award-winning care… where each one is a loved one.”
“The staff is really, really great! They go out of their way to help Mom. Aaron especially, from the therapy department helped Mom a lot. Also, the admissions team working with my family before Mom was discharged from the hospital gave us peace-of-mind that Mom had a safe place to go.”
Our Philosophy & Vision
Ketcham Memorial Center is truly a special place. Everything we do revolves around our residents down to each detail. Our unique setting, our staff and services which set us apart from other providers of long term care services and a community of health care professionals that are truly friends and neighbors who don’t just pay lip service to their commitment to “home-like” care.
The 40 plus years remarkable Indiana State Department of Health annual licensure survey results, numerous recognition awards for excellence in care and a band of volunteers that outnumber the residents 2 to 1 make Ketcham the facility of choice in the tri-county areas covering Daviess, Greene and Martin counties. Keeping in mind our mission to care for each resident as we would care for our own loved ones results in the highest resident care satisfaction at Ketcham Memorial Center.
“I think that this should be said. I came to Ketcham in October 1973 when there were only 2 halls, the middle hall and the west hall. In later years, they built on the east hall and now they have built on more. They have done a fantastic job. The residents receive good care from the employees, the food is very good and when you complain about something, the staff does their best to fix it. We are busy all the time with activities, bingo, cards, and lots of other games. I want to appreciate the staff at KMC for all the care they have given to me. I think the community has something to be proud of.” – Cheryle Ritchey
