Our community offers a variety of activities and amenities to enrich the lives of our residents. We provide community outings, social clubs, and worship services to ensure our residents feel a sense of community and belonging among the staff and their peers.

Our Skilled Care Facility

In addition to 24-hour nursing services, in-patient and outpatient therapy services, the very best in home-cooked meals, and an ongoing calendar of life-enriching events, KMC also provides for each resident a new flat screen TV with free cable in a beautiful room furnished with locally handcrafted furniture and warm quilted bedspreads.

Ketcham Memorial Center has a long history of providing excellent long term nursing care. Over the past few years, the facility has been recognized for excellence in nursing care through the recently developed national Nursing Home Compare Five-Star quality rating system. KMC is a 4-Star skilled nursing facility ranking higher than any facility in Daviess County along with one of the highest ranking Medicare and/or Medicaid certified facilities in the State of Indiana. The scores are derived from the results of the annual Indiana State Department of Health annual licensure and recertification process. In 2011, the facility attained the highest survey results possible with no state or federal deficiencies cited. We are proud that the Indiana State Department of Health recognizes KMC’s commitment to long term care excellence!

Small House/ Memory Care Unit

As KMC looks to the future, the need for a change from the traditional nursing home is needed. The traditional nursing home is a medical institution built to care for a person’s medical needs so they can remain alive. While that notion sounds noble it lacks one essential element of being active ….and that is living. To address this dilemma, the concept of a Small Home has come to the forefront. The dream for Small Homes is to create an environment that is safer than home but just as comfortable.

KMC’s Small House/ Memory Care unit is being designed to meet the needs of those individuals who may not need skilled nursing care but still require 24-hour nursing assistance. Specially trained certified nursing assistants will provide person- centered care.
