This is a post we are beyond excited to share!
Our longtime employee, Melinda Bryant, has completed nursing school and officially passed her RN boards! Today is her first shift as a licensed nurse!Melinda began her journey at Ketcham as a CNA and has served our facility in many different roles over the years. She worked as our transportation aide before joining the management team, became a phlebotomist, assisted with Infection Prevention during the pandemic, handled therapy billing, and helped with ordering and billing for nursing supplies. Most recently, she worked as a QMA while finishing nursing school.Melinda also has a very personal connection to the care we provide, as her Memaw is one of our residents. She understands firsthand the importance of advocating for our residents and providing the exceptional care every resident and family deserves.We have been incredibly fortunate to watch Melinda grow, achieve this goal, and begin an exciting new chapter. We know she is going to be an amazing nurse!Please help us officially welcome the newest nurse to our team: Melinda Bryant, RN!

- We are excited to announce that Hannah Walker has accepted the role of Activity Director at Ketcham Memorial Center! Many of our residents, families, and staff already know Hannah from her past two years as a CNA in The Gardens, where she has built relationships with our residents. As she transitions into her new role, Morgan Wininger will be training Hannah and serving as the Interim Activity Director until Hannah has completed her orientation and training. This will ensure a smooth transition while continuing to provide the engaging programs and meaningful experiences our residents enjoy. Please join us in congratulating Hannah on this exciting new chapter! We know she is going to do an incredible job, and we can’t wait to watch her grow in this role

Summertime is in full swing at KMC! The fish are biting, and the cucumbers and onions are soaking!
